Following the success of The Boat, I had the pleasure of collaborating once again with the incredibly talented Morgan brothers(Luke Morgan, Jake Morgan), this time on our latest feature-length film, Froggie. The film had its premiere in Ireland at the Galway Film Fleadh 2024, marking another exciting milestone in our creative journey.
Working on Froggie was a natural next step for me, particularly given my strong working relationship with Luke Morgan, which began during the making of The Boat. Our previous project laid a solid foundation, and this time around, we aimed to push the boundaries even further during the 24-day shoot.
Due to my commitments with Xerotech's marketing department, I shared the Cinematographer credit with my good friend, Philip Bond, whose expertise and vision were invaluable to the project.
I'm incredibly proud of the work we accomplished together, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Froggie is received by audiences. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our festival run!
FROGGIE
Brothers Fiachra and Tadgh peaked at the age of seven when they appeared on national TV, singing with their homemade puppet, Froggie. 25 years later, they are still singing the same ol’ song when their show gets cancelled.
The world is pulling the brothers apart. Fiachra’s biggest fear – that his brother will abandon him, and he will have to take a dreaded “9-5” – is closing in. To make matters worse, Froggie is stolen. A ransom video appears online. The thief will release Froggie when the puppet achieves 1 million followers. Fiachra and Tadgh must team up to rescue their childhood puppet by helping Froggie to become famous once again.
Froggie is an independent bilingual comedy about brotherly love and the struggles of the artistic journey.
