JUNIPER
"Juniper" is a captivating short film that emerged from our incredible journey at the 2022 48 Hour Film Challenge in Galway, Ireland. Our team “The Unmentionables” comprised of twelve passionate friends from the filmmaking community, with me at the helm as the team captain and director. The exceptional screenplay and production were the brainchildren of my talented friends Jamie and Conor Hooper.
Those exhilarating days were a whirlwind of creativity, camaraderie, and problem-solving. We faced numerous challenges head-on, pushing ourselves to the limit to bring our vision to life. In the end, our dedication paid off as we emerged victorious, earning the Best Film prize, along with two additional accolades for Best Actress and Best Original Music.
Within the confines of the competition's guidelines, we skillfully crafted a suspenseful thriller, carefully adhering to the strict time constraint of under five minutes. We ingeniously weaved the line "if only you told me sooner" into the fabric of our narrative, creating a powerful and memorable moment.
Participating in the 48-Hour Film Challenge was an extraordinary experience that left an indelible mark on each of us. The memories of those intense days filled with passion, teamwork, and creative synergy are forever etched in our minds. It was an honor to collaborate with such a talented group, and together we crafted a film that surpassed our own expectations.

Juniper will premier at the Galway Film Fleadh 2023 in the “way out west” program.
